LEADERSHIP
Kellana Hindert, Ph.D., MBA, PMP
Principal
​Dr. Hindert's work over the past 17 years has been focused on program and system improvement. She has conducted several evaluation projects, data analyses, and research studies. She has extensive training in quantitative and qualitative research methods. She also has a variety of experiences conducting focus groups, key informant interviews, and survey research. In addition to her work in psychology, Dr. Hindert engages in leadership roles focused on continuous quality improvement using evidence-based methods and data. She has diverse experiences as a program evaluator of health systems, child protective services, early childhood education programs, and social service organizations. Her work on the evaluation of caseworker tools for safety and risk assessments instilled her with knowledge of the functioning, challenges, and opportunities in child protective services not only related to assessment instruments but of the landscape of child protective services in Ohio. Her leadership of the evaluation of Cincinnati Preschool Promise and a longitudinal evaluation of preschool - 12th grade academic outcomes gives her insight into the challenges and opportunities to improve preschool, primary, and secondary education. Dr. Hindert’s evaluation skills extend to instruction as she has served as an Assistant Professor-Adjunct teaching Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis to UC Psychology graduate students.

Dr. Hindert has over 15 years of data analysis experience using R, SAS, SPSS, and Stata. Her background includes data management and statistical consultation with a variety of community, early childhood education, and health services clients. She has worked with the ODJFS data system SACWIS. She also has experience with measurement theory and generalized linear modeling which informed an evaluation of safety and risk assessments as well as survival analysis.
She is a Research & Community Psychologist, an MBA, a Project Management Professional (PMP) globally certified by the Project Management Institute, and is an effective project and team leader. As a quality assurance manager of professional medical services, she led her team of direct reports through process improvements that significantly increased production and reduced errors. She also directs evaluation, data management, and analysis teams as well as mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
